Magdalen vs Frimley Green Cricket Club - Sunday 3rd June 2007, 14:00

Magdalen (175/6) beat Frimley Green Cricket Club (39 all out) by 136 runs

Match Detail
FGCC were soundly beaten by Magdalen. Having lost the toss and been sent in to field on a hot and humid day, FGCC feared the worst, but the opening bowlers provided excellent economy and had Magdalen looking troubled at 20-odd for 3. However, a solid 4th wicket partnership got them through to an eventual total of 175-6 from all of 49 overs in this timed match. Frimley Green's reply got off to a bad start, and sadly never improved. The highest partnership was 13, and Antony Johnson finished top scorer with a mere 6. Extras takes the man-of-the-match award for scoring 21, and edging the score somewhere towards respectability. Ultimately though, it fell short of even that - a game to forget.
