Royal AscotRoyal Ascot vs Frimley Green Cricket ClubFGCC

Sunday 18th May 2008, 14:00 · Away
Royal Ascot (140 all out) beat Frimley Green Cricket Club (50 all out) by 90 runs
Al Hammond
Al completing his 5-wicket haul.

Frimley Green succumbed to a demoralising defeat at the hands of Royal Ascot in this timed game. Having restricted their opponents to 140 all out, David Huggett taking 3 wickets and Al Hammond completing his maiden 5-wicket haul, FGCC had a great chance of victory.
However, the batting effort was poor, only Paul Broome reaching double figures, and a spectacular collapse led to a huge margin of defeat. At 40/2 and with plenty of time left to bat, the collapse began in earnest, and, with Shahid Rafiq taking 5/10 for the opposition, Frimley Green lost 8 wickets for 10 runs, crumbling to 50 all out.
