Odiham and Greywell vs Frimley Green Cricket Club - Sunday 30th July 2006, 14:00

Odiham and Greywell (169/4) beat Frimley Green Cricket Club (168/9) by 6 wickets

Match Detail
A tight game ended in an Odiham victory, as FGCC's 168/9 proved to be not quite enough. After a solid start from Frimley Green, the total was boosted by cameos from John Sherringham, Mike McAuliffe, and Noel Long. Mike scored 32 from 17 balls, Noel 36 from 25, and 168 looked a good total after a fairly slow start. Jon Prior got the early breakthrough that FGCC needed, dismissing the Odiham opener thanks to a catch from Antony Johnson. A Tim Jones direct hit ran out the other opener, and FGCC caught a glimpse of light at the end of the tunnel. David Huggett and Rus Edmonds came on to bowl, and kept things tight, Huggett in particular. He took 2 wickets and conceded just 8 runs from 8 overs, but he couldn't break the vital partnership between Collins and McFarlane, who both batted superbly and got Odiham over the line with 3 overs to spare.
