Shepperton (183/1) beat Frimley Green Cricket Club (106 all out) by 77 runs

Vamsi's clout out of nowhere for a one-bounce 4, just when FGCC were staring down the barrel at a sub-100 score.
An end-of-season trip to Shepperton, where FGCC enjoyed their first proper tea for nearly two years, ended in a heavy defeat for the visitors. Shepperton openers Cowland and Pilkington played exquisitely on a challenging track, despite impressive opening spells by Manoj and Hafiz and Kanavel bowling tidily. Drops unfortunately cost FGCC dearly, with Cowland bringing up a 50 before Vamsi took a catch off Hafiz' second spell. Pilkington carried his bat, however, and in a manner remarkably similar to our own Rich Loosely timed his run-scoring well to bring his century up off the penultimate ball of the innings - a fine effort.
FGCC's reply was, to say the least, a marked difference to the efforts of their hosts. From 20-1, FGCC folded meekly to 35-7, with only Mark making double figures out of the top 7 batsman. Thankfully with Shepperton's opening bowlers having completed their spells the bowling was a little more friendly, allowing the tail to wag and the bowlers able to take the score to 3 figures. This was only delaying the inevitable however, and when Kanavel holed out with 5 overs remaining the match was done.
