Badshot Lea vs Frimley Green Cricket Club - Sunday 3rd July 2011, 14:00
Badshot Lea (197 all out) beat Frimley Green Cricket Club (139 all out) by 58 runs
Match Detail
Frimley Green, losing the toss and fielding in humid conditions, got off to a great start at Badshot Lea. David Huggett, finding swing in the air, caught the edge of opener Morrison's bat second ball and saw Gordon Marsh take a comfortable catch at slip. Huggett ripped out the top 4 plus number 7 and, with Dave Brown chipping in at the other end, Badshot Lea were in tatters at 65/6. However, that was merely the start of a great comeback from BLCC. With the lower order swinging the bat and connecting more often than not, they made quick runs and somehow got to a very testing total of 197. With Dave Brown getting a good start but giving it away, and Antony Johnson harshly adjudged LBW, FGCC were soon in trouble in their reply. Despite Steve Murphy's battling 25 from number 8, FGCC collapsed to 139 all out.
