At Royal Ascot's ground - in the racecourse itself - FGCC were... not at the races. Whilst Royal Ascot's batsmen rode their luck, with innumerable chances failing to go to hand, they fully deserved this thumping victory. FGCC's fielders were unable to hold onto the chances that came their way, with the Arctic conditions doubtless not helping. Frimley Green's reply never really got started. Only Rich Loosley, who scored a massive 70% of the runs before being caught in the deep, came away with any credit as Ascot's bowlers proved too good for FGCC's out-of-practice batting lineup.
