Frimley Green (122/8) vs Hawley Cricket Club (240/7), 15/06/2008

Frimley Green, winning the toss and inserting the opposition in tricky batting conditions, had high hopes of a win thanks to excellent opening spells from Nick Gates and David Huggett. Terrific slip catches from Tim Jones and Nick had helped to reduce Hawley to 23/3 from 14 overs, but from that time on Hawley dominated. A superb, hard-hitting 130 not out from Dave Huntingford saw Hawley to a great score of 240/7 from their 40 overs, and in response FGCC were never in the hunt. A big six from Paul Broome was the highlight of Frimley Green's 122/8, as only he and Tim Jones offered any resistance to some tight bowling.
