Binfield vs Frimley Green Cricket Club - Sunday 20th May 2018, 14:00
Binfield (136/1) beat Frimley Green Cricket Club (135 all out) by 9 wickets
Match Detail
FGCC couldn't fashion a repeat of last year's close-fought victory over Binfield as they were outclassed with both bat and ball on a boiling hot May afternoon. Winning the toss and unsurprisingly electing to bat on a flat track, Tim and Mark made a cracking start in the face of some hostile opening bowling, putting on 55 for the first wicket until Mark was judged LBW. After that wickets fell at regular intervals, although credit to Suresh for a fine 27 which included a massive straight six down the ground. With Jim running himself out chasing a second run that wasn't there, FGCC finished on 135 off just shy of 40 overs. In reply Binfield weren't in any mood to hang about, with openers Snelling and M Humphrey exceeding FGCC's opening stand until the former was bowled by Sheshi. Despite a couple of LBW shouts and helped by a couple of drops, Binfield cantered to the target with over 14 overs to spare.
